MY OPINION ON;
CHARACTER IN GENERAL: Godric is actually my least favorite founder, whoops! Helga and Rowena were my favorites and I loved the potential dynamic between Salazar and Godric, but to me I felt like Godric was old school Arthurian and I had so much of that in my life already so I didn’t really invest a lot of thought into him. Then I stumbled over this asshole blog and suddenly I am deeply interested in the intricate workings of a resurrected wizarding legend.
HOW THEY PLAY THEM: Garret is insanely well developed and there is so much thought put into him as a person, well beyond the intricacies of having a reincarnated soul within himself. He has his own history, family, connections and way of thinking. He has his own disorders and anxieties that make him solid, make him human, make you think about him. And then Godric comes into play, and you worry about Garret while simultaneously wanting to learn about Godric — and that, my friends, is sheer fucking talent. Holly has taken a character we have all of four paragraphs on and created something truly fascinating to behold – both Garret and Godric are one and the same while at the same time not that, and you’re invested in both. It takes a lot of skill to weave that kind of a tale from something so very minute.
THE MUN: Honestly one of my favorite people to talk to – very easy going, and as Done With Tumblr Shenanigans as I am. I always feel comfortable nattering in Holly’s general direction, which is hilarious considering we don’t rp much, woops. (99% my bad.)
